José De Jesús Negrete Medina or “El Tigre De Santa Julia” - Kiosco of History

He was born in Cuerámaro, Guanajuato, in August 1873, son of José Guadalupe Negrete and Luisa Medina, who died in childbirth.1 The tiger left Cuerámaro at about 15 years old. He lived in the Santa Julia neighborhood (named after Julia Gomez's former Hacienda) currently belongs to the Tlaxpana and Anahuac colonies of the Miguel Hidalgo delegation in Mexico City.
