Liverpool and Wales legend John Toshack has been diagnosed with dementia, his son Cameron revealed. The 77-year-old previously faced health difficulties in 2022 when pneumonia complications from Covid required intensive care.

Last year, Real Sociedad awarded him the Diamond and Gold badge, the highest honor the La Liga club bestows. Former Liverpool manager Bill Shankly called the Welshman the "manager of the century" for his managerial achievements.
