Joanne McNally to Make Celebrity Traitors Debut Tonight
The BBC reality game returns with 21 celebrities competing for up to £100,000 for charity after last year’s finale drew 15.4 million viewers.
On Thursday, October 1, host Claudia Winkleman launched the BBC's Celebrity Traitors series two at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, where 21 contestants including comedian Joe Lycett compete for up to £100,000 for charity.
The BBC expanded the game to 10 episodes following the debut series' ratings triumph, which peaked at 15.4 million viewers last autumn, signaling strong audience appetite for a second season.
TV presenter Maya Jama and actor Richard E. Grant were initially selected as the only two Traitors, tasked by Winkleman with recruiting a third member from the remaining faithfuls rather than the traditional trio format.
Facing a dramatic cliffhanger, comedian James Acaster and broadcaster Amol Rajan pleaded with Jama and Grant for recruitment to avoid being "murdered" from the competition in the opening episode.
Episodes air twice weekly on Thursday and Friday nights at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer, with the season finale scheduled for October 30 as all 10 episodes unfold across the month.
