They call him Emil and instead of staff, he carries lunches to the cardiology intensive care unit through the long corridors of the Jihlava hospital. He can open doors, call an elevator and carry up to 750 kilograms. If someone gets in his way on a roughly 300-meter-long route, he slows down or even stops. The regional facility is currently the only hospital in the Czech Republic where fully autonomous AMR robots operate.
