'Jeopardy!' Champ Jamie Ding Wins 20th Consecutive Game
Jamie Ding’s streak lifted his total winnings to $539,573 and put him one victory from tying for seventh in consecutive wins.
On Thursday, April 9, 2026, Jamie Ding secured his 20th consecutive Jeopardy! victory, tying Julia Collins for seventh place on the show's all-time consecutive wins leaderboard.
A bureaucrat and law student residing in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Ding grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School in 2009.
During his streak, Ding accumulated $572,600 in total winnings, including $33,027 from Thursday's match, while maintaining a record of 618 correct responses against 42 incorrect ones.
Wayne State University, where his father Yuchuan Ding is a professor, posted on social media that it is "proud to be a part of this champion's journey." Public officials have also celebrated his performance.
Ding remains far behind current host Ken Jennings' record of 74 wins and needs over $21,000 more to rank sixth in regular-season earnings, positioning his chase as long-term.
