Jehovah's Witnesses can now once again call themselves a recognized religious community in Norway. The religious community has won a controversial lawsuit against the Norwegian state.


The decision to deprive Jehovah's Witnesses of state subsidies was invalid, the Court of Appeals believes. They thus came to the opposite conclusion than the district court.
The decision to deny them state subsidies is therefore invalid.
