JEEP GOES OFF ROAD INTO RIVER NEAR GLIDE

April 24, 2025 4:00 p.m.   A Jeep Cherokee which had gone into the North Umpqua River was spotted by a truck driver passing by on Tuesday morning. A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said the vehicle accident was called in at 8:30 a.m. The Jeep had left the 2800 block of Cavitt Creek Road near Glide and rolled down a steep 50-foot embankment into the river.
