Jangoo century lifts West Indies to 235-4 in second Bangladesh Test
On Thursday, West Indies reached 235-4 against Bangladesh in Sylhet, recovering from an early collapse behind Amir Jangoo's unbeaten century and debutant Kevin Wickham's 61.
Bangladesh pacers Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud initially dominated the visitors, reducing them to 27-3 within nine overs after removing Brandon King, Kavem Hodge, and Joshua Da Silva.
A 131-run partnership between the pair steadied the innings, with Wickham scoring his maiden Test fifty off 123 balls while Jangoo reached his second century from 149 balls.
Bad light forced an early end to play with Justin Greaves at 35 not out alongside Jangoo, who finished the day unbeaten on 111 off 171 balls.
Wickham credited his partner's mentorship, saying, "He was guiding me and telling me what Test cricket is all about, just staying patient," after navigating the fired-up Bangladesh attack.
