UNITED KINGDOM, JUL 31 – Adrian Mardell led Jaguar Land Rover through a key shift to all-electric vehicles and a major rebrand while achieving the company’s best profit in a decade, the firm said.
- On Thursday, Autocar reported that Jaguar Land Rover CEO Adrian Mardell is stepping down after nearly three years and 35 years with the company.
- Amid a widely derided rebrand, Jaguar ended production of all models in November 2024, and Mardell announced his departure after nearly three years as CEO.
- Jaguar Land Rover posted a pre-tax profit of 2.5 billion, with Defender sales reaching 115,404 units and revenues steady at 29 billion, despite a 1.7 percent decline in the final quarter.
- Following the rebrand, JLR announced plans to reduce around 1.5% of its UK management jobs, as part of a voluntary redundancy program in the UK.
- His successor will be announced in due course, as the all-electric Range Rover set to launch later this year has been delayed until next year, Autocar reported.
