- On Nov. 5, the Lakes Area Vineyard Church announced Jackie Shroyer was convicted by an Angolan court for involvement in the Oct. 25, 2024 killing of her husband, Beau Shroyer.
- Angolan investigators said Jackie Shroyer, then 44, was the alleged mastermind with `strong suspicions of a romantic relationship` with a charged security guard and intent to stay in Angola.
- Authorities say suspects feigned engine failure to lure Beau Shroyer to a remote area, where he was killed while Jackie was away, and at least two arrested suspects have prior robbery and kidnapping records.
- The church said Jackie Shroyer is expected to serve her sentence in an Angolan detention facility, and the Shroyer children are cared for by family with support from SIM USA and Lakes Area Vineyard Church.
