"It Is Against Nature" – Private Chef Reveals Why Cristiano Ronaldo Banned Drink Rich in Protein From His Diet
His former chef says Ronaldo’s meals stay high in protein and low in flour, helping him keep body fat at 7%, Barone said.
Chef Giorgio Barone, Cristiano Ronaldo's former personal cook, recently revealed that the 41-year-old striker has banned milk from his diet, claiming it "goes against nature."
Barone told Covers.com that "Humans are the only animals that drink the milk of other animals," arguing that continuing milk consumption up to 60 years of age is unnatural.
Ronaldo avoids sugar and flour-based carbohydrates like pasta and bread, relying on vegetables for energy. "Starting with breakfast, he would have an avocado with coffee, eggs and no sugar," Barone said.
The Al-Nassr footballer maintains body fat below 10 per cent, significantly lower than the Premier League range. At 41, the Portuguese star remains biologically 11 years younger and recently scored his 969th career goal.
Ronaldo's commitment to health extends beyond diet; he famously told fans to "drink water" instead of Coca-Cola in 2021. Barone also endorses offal-based diets, citing iron content as vital for longevity.
