- Law enforcement found the cash in Caivano, a comune in the Naples metropolitan area, removing it in plastic mop buckets. Police also confiscated 11 luxury Rolex watches, weapons, and drug-selling paraphernalia.
- The confiscated €3.2 million will be transferred to Italy's "Justice Fund," which supports victims of organized crime. Gratteri told reporters that authorities wiretapped incarcerated members of organized crime using cellphones smuggled into prison.
- Gratteri noted that the crime family infiltrated Caivano so thoroughly the local government was placed under judicial administration in 2025. Investigations continue into the group's extensive influence over the area.
