ISRO to Launch PSLV-C62/EOS-N1 Mission on January 12

The PSLV-C62 mission will deploy the DRDO EOS-N1 satellite and 17 commercial payloads from global startups and institutions, including Spain's Kestrel Initial Demonstrator.

  • PSLV-C62 is scheduled to lift off on 12 January 2026 at 10:17 hrs IST from First Launch Pad, SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota, according to ISRO.
  • The flight's manifest includes EOS-N1, an imaging satellite built for strategic purposes by the Defence Research and Development Organisation, plus 17 commercial payloads and the Kestrel Initial Demonstrator .
  • Space enthusiasts can witness the launch live from the Launch View Gallery at SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota and must register online at lvg.shar.gov.in; ISRO advises visitors to have a government-issued ID such as an Aadhaar card or driving licence, plus a mobile number and email.
  • Momentum from recent launches positions ISRO to build on a highly successful end to 2025, following the LVM3-M5/CMS-03 mission completed November 2, 2025, and proven reliability with Chandrayaan-2, Chandrayaan-3, and two OneWeb constellations.
  • That December 24 success underscores ISRO's commercial-payload capability as the LVM3-M6 mission delivered the BlueBird Block-2 satellite featuring a 223-square-meter phased array antenna.
