Israeli strikes kill three people in Gaza, medics say
Medics said the strikes hit two areas as ceasefire talks remain stalled over Hamas disarmament and Israel’s troop withdrawal.
On Monday, Nov. 2, Israeli strikes killed at least three Palestinians in Gaza, with medics reporting two dead and six wounded in Khan Younis and a third killed in Al-Mussadar.
Israel asserts Hamas has been rearming in violation of the year-old ceasefire, prompting stepped-up military strikes; Hamas denies the allegations and accuses Israel of undermining the peace deal.
Health officials report at least 1,580 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire, while Israel reports four soldiers killed during the same period.
Negotiations have failed to reach terms for Hamas to disarm or for Israel to withdraw troops, who currently control about two-thirds of the territory.
Nearly all of the more than 2 million residents in Gaza face displacement, living among war ruins in the remaining third of the enclave as military operations restrict access.
Four people, including a 12-year-old woman and boy, were killed on Thursday by Israeli strikes and fire in the Gaza Strip, announcing the war-ravaged Palestinian relief services.
