French prosecutors probe culture minister over luxury jewellery
French prosecutors said on Tuesday they had launched a probe following reports that Rachida Dati, the outgoing culture minister who is campaigning to become the mayor of Paris next year, failed to declare luxury jewellery.
"Liberation" said in April that the candidate for the Paris City Hall had omitted pieces of jewellery in her declaration of assets. At the beginning of May, the elected woman assured that she had "nothing to regularize" in the latter. - Rachida Dati targeted by an investigation for "non-declaration" of jewellery to the HATVP (Policy).
