Invasive species action awarded throughout B.C.

The Invasive Species Council of BC presented the Together in Action Awards during the Invasives 2025 Forum on Feb. 25, recognizing significant contributions in managing invasive species in B.C.
Friends of Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park received the Outstanding Organization Award for 20 years of volunteer work in the park against invasive species.
Lauren McKenna received the Student Impact Award for her environmentally conscious research on knotweed management.
Gail Wallin, the ISCBC executive director, stated that the awards demonstrate 'incredible work being done in our communities every day to safeguard biodiversity in B.C.
