DETROIT LAKES — Do you hear the call of the loon? There’s a new girls youth hockey team in Detroit Lakes — the Lilac Loons. This winter marks the inaugural season for the Loons, the first all-girls hockey team for ages 4-8 administered by the Detroit Lakes Youth Hockey Association (DLYHA).
