On Monday, institutions and political parties in Álava recalled the victims of Francoism, especially the 16 political prisoners who were shot in the Alavés port of Azazeta in the early hours of March 31 to April 1, 1937, including the one who was mayor of Vitoria, Republican Teodoro González de Zárate.
