FSAI reveal the most commonly reported foreign objects in food as complaints rise
The number of complaints made to the Food Safety Authority in 2024 increased by just over 13%. In total 8,596 complaints and queries were handled by the FSAI Advice Line last year. The FSAI revealed there were 4,996 complaints from consumers, with 32% of complaints relating to unfit food and 29% to suspected food poisoning.
