Industrial and data center interest boosting demand in Finland's energy grid

Finland's low electricity prices are attracting interest from both energy-intensive industries and data centers, which in turn accelerates both the growth in electricity demand and the expansion of energy production, said Mikko Heikkilä from Fingrid.

Finland has researched the consumer habits of its citizens. Interesting findings have emerged. More than half of Finns are already buying less. And not only because of the rising cost of living, but many have cited climate reasons as the reason. Due to awareness of the climate crisis, they are willing to give up some of their purchases.
