President Prabowo said Indonesia will leave the US-led Board of Peace if it fails to benefit Palestinians or align with national interests amid domestic pressure and regional tensions.
- On March 6, President Prabowo Subianto said he will withdraw from the 'Board of Peace' if it does not benefit Palestinians, as he stated, 'The president said that if he sees that there is no longer any benefit for Palestine...and that it is not in line with Indonesia's national interests, he will withdraw.'
- The Indonesian Ulema Council and protesters outside the US embassy urged Jakarta to exit the board over the U.S. role in the Iran war, warning it could compromise support for Palestinians.
