- Meanwhile, a Special Investigation Team in India filed a chargesheet on December 12 in a Guwahati court accusing Shyamkanu Mahanta, Siddharatha Sharma, Shekharjyoti Goswami, and Amritprava Mahanta of murder.
- Before the inquiry opened, Garg's uncle read a statement saying, `Between those two moments lie a sequence of events the family doesn't fully understand`, and 35 witnesses will testify in the coroner's inquiry in Singapore.
