Twenty-eight fishermen from Idinthakarai, a fishing hamlet in Tirunelveli district, who were detained by Bahrain authorities on September 11 for allegedly crossing the maritime boundary, have been released. They arrived at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala late on Wednesday (December 18, 2024) night, Tamil Nadu Fisheries department officials said.
