Manipur floods: 3,802 people affected, 883 houses damaged in just 48 hours

Army and Assam rifles personnel are leading rescue operations as various areas including Imphal town, Khurai, Heingang, and Checkon constituencies remain inundated.

Two major rescue columns were activated under the operation. The first contingent conducted an operation in the Singjami area and rescued 193 people, including 85 women and 44 children, in Wankhai Khunou. The second contingent rescued 182 people, including 90 women and 57 children, in Hekrumakhong.
