India arrests Kashmir resident over Delhi car blast
- The NIA announced on Sunday that investigators had arrested Amir Rashid Ali in Delhi on November 16, 2025, linking the Hyundai i20 used in the Red Fort blast that killed 10 and injured 32 to him.
- Authorities allege the suspect conspired with Umar Un Nabi and travelled to New Delhi to facilitate purchase of the car used in the attack, with forensics identifying Umar as the driver.
- Forensic tests show the explosion happened at 6.52 pm in a Hyundai i20 with ammonium nitrate and TATP, and 73 witnesses have been questioned in the investigation.
- Security forces carried out raids at more than 300 Kashmir locations, demolished the Pulwama district home on November 14, 2025, and tightened Delhi central security measures while Al-Falah University faces scrutiny.
- The NIA said it is pursuing multiple leads to unearth a larger conspiracy and identify others involved, calling Ali's arrest a major breakthrough, while a Srinagar detonation killed nine and nearly 30 were injured Friday.
