During 2023 in Mexico, 32,852 adolescents were charged with allegedly committing a crime, an increase of 17.7% compared to the previous year. 77.5 per cent of minors in this situation are men, while 22.5 per cent are women, according to the Statistics Report on Adolescents in Conflict with the Inegi Law (National Institute of Statistics and Geography).
