To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the decisive Württemberg battle in Böblingen during the Peasants' War on May 12, 1525, the monument by artist Peter Lenk, "Faces of the Peasants' War," was unveiled at the Oberer See in Böblingen. It is a nearly 10-meter-high, five-sided column with reliefs, figures, and historical illustrations. It tops with a crown bearing a life-size figure depicting the Truchsess of Waldburg-Zeil.
