The Ministry of Health has urged Saturday to strengthen surveillance and vaccination in the face of the global increase in measles cases in several countries, according to an update of the Rapid Risk Assessment issued by the Centre for the Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies (CCAES). In 2025, Spain confirmed 229 cases (78 imported from Morocco, 78 related to imports and 73 of unknown origin).
Health recommends increasing surveillance and vaccination against seven active outbreaks and 229 confirmed cases over the next year.
