Sébastien Lecornu is once again taking over the office of French Prime Minister - and with a clear goal: the budget should quickly enter parliament. Can he succeed in rebooting despite the announced vote of distrust?
The Prime Minister visited L'Haÿ-les-Roses (Val-de-Marne), the day after Emmanuel Macron's decision to rename him head of government.
The government that the Prime Minister wishes to appoint will include personalities who are "not imprisoned by the parties." He also promised that "all debates are possible."
During his first visit since his re-appointment, Sébastien Lecornu said he wanted a "free" government detached from presidential ambitions.
Again under the threat of censorship after its highly criticized renewal, the most so new Prime Minister must, in an ultra-short time, constitute his new government in order to be able to present a draft budget on Monday.
