PARIS (AP) — Saint-Etienne boosted its chances of staying in Ligue 1 after winning a match which had been interrupted Sunday when a linesman was hit on the head by a projectile.

One of the referees received, just before half-time, a projectile sent from a gallery at Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium.

After 45 minutes of break, the game closing the 30th day of Ligue 1, Sunday, finally won by the Greens (2-1), took over. The alleged projectile jet author, who touched the key judge to the head, was arrested and placed in police custody.
