Chad: President Mahamat Idriss Déby appoints his brother as private secretary

New appointments around the Chadian president. By a decree issued on Wednesday, March 19, Mahamat Idriss Déby appointed his younger brother, Daoussa Idriss Deby Itno, Minister Private Secretary of the President of the Republic, to replace Ahmed Kogri, who was dismissed without further assignment for the time being.

The Head of State continues to set up his first post-transition mandate in Chad. After appointing his men to head the National Assembly, the Senate and the ruling party, he made major changes to the Palace.
