King Willem-Alexander's visit to the Portuguese Synagogue on Sunday morning was certainly remarkable. During the celebration of the prayer house's 350th anniversary, the Jewish community prayed for the State of Israel, the army, the hostages, and the Royal Family. The king didn't bat an eyelid.
King Willem-Alexander attended the 350th anniversary celebrations of the Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam on Sunday. The King's visit to the Jewish prayer and community center on Mr. Visserplein was not announced in advance for security reasons.

Dutch King Willem-Alexander attended the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam. After the service, the King spoke with the Chief Rabbi, the rabbi, and members of the Jewish community. He also spoke with young people about the community’s future.
