As strikes become increasingly frequent in this northeastern region of Ukraine that borders Russia, residents are holding their breath and have begun evacuating some localities around Sumy.
During the day from 24 to 25 June, Russian troops carried out almost 90 shelling on 27 settlements in the Sumy region.
According to the Ukrainian armed forces in Sumy region, the advance of Russian troops has been halted and partially lost territory has been reclaimed. Putin wants to set up a buffer zone there.
