IMSS performs 146 CTH transplants in children with leukemia

To benefit girls and boys with cancer, particularly those with high-risk leukemias or with the possibility of relapse despite receiving chemotherapy, the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) has a successful programme of hematopoietic stem cell transplants (CTH); in 2024 403 procedures were performed and up to week 17 of this year 146 transplants have been performed; the goal is to exceed 500 transplants this year.

The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) has consolidated a successful hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (CTH) program for the treatment of high-risk leukemias in minors.
