MARION COUNTY, INDIANA, JUL 27 – Cookie Monster will lead the pre-race command at the Brickyard 400 as part of Sesame Street's Road Trip Across America, promoting inclusivity to millions of fans nationwide.
- On Sunday, July 27, Cookie Monster will serve as grand marshal for the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, delivering the traditional command for drivers to report to their cars.
- As part of the Road Trip Across America initiative, Sesame Workshop has reached children across America for over 55 years, sharing the message 'no matter who you are or where you live, 'Sesame Street' is for you.'
- Following Cookie Monster's command, NASCAR stars will take on the 2.5-mile oval track, live coverage begins at 2 p.m. ET on TNT Sports.
- J. Douglas Boles, INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway president, said, 'Bring the whole family out for a cookie break,' and children under 15 are admitted free with an adult ticket.
- The Road Trip Across America tour stops at state fairs, zoos, baseball games, farms and corn mazes, and reunites Cookie Monster with Bubba Wallace in a special video.
