VIENNA. In Vienna, short-term rentals are now strictly regulated. However, in the case of inspections, it is not only the landlords of individual companies who go into the net: in the case of the most recent priority actions carried out by the construction police, two illegal hotels have even been discovered.

The Wiener Baupolizei has targeted illegal short-term rentals. In a focus campaign on the Wieden and in favourites, it picked up two illegal hotels. Strict penalties were imposed on tenants who have sub-rented community building apartments.
