A Closed Bedroom Door Saved a 5 Year Old From Fire

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, JUL 13 – Firefighters quickly controlled the blaze within 10 minutes and rescued the boy unharmed due to a closed bedroom door blocking toxic smoke, officials said.

INDIANAPOLIS — A five-year-old boy was left in a fire that broke out in the family's home, forcing his mother to evacuate before finding him. At 8:11 a.m. on Saturday, the Indianapolis Fire Department was dispatched to a call of a fire and smoke showing in the 800 block of Barbary Lane.
