If Savings Plans Are Not Enough: Capital Tax for Katzian Not Off the Table

They are not in the government agreement, yet the SPÖ does not want to let go: If the existing austerity package is not enough, ÖGB President Wolfgang Katzian wants to talk again about wealth and inheritance taxes.

Wolfgang Katzian, President of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions (ÖGB), defended the government's austerity measures as a compromise between three parties in the ORF press hour. At the same time, the trade unionist said that if the fun measures were not enough, they should be discussed again about wealth-related taxes. Little was he pleased with the KV negotiations about demands of economic researchers.
