Rescued bald eagle recovering at Houston SPCA's wildlife center

HOUSTON (KIAH) — A four-year-old bald eagle is currently recovering at the Houston SPCA's Wildlife Center of Texas after being rescued from the Neches River. The large bird was found in March with its wing caught by a fishing hook and line which “entangled” it in chest-high water preventing it from flying to safety. Bald eagles have returned to Cuckold’s Cove

Signs of spring are sprouting across Newfoundland and Labrador. That includes the return of bald eagles to nest atop Cuckold’s Cove near Signal Hill and Quidi Vidi. The return drew a crowd of onlookers, bird watchers and photographers over the weekend.
