The University of Iceland graduated its first group of licensed psychologists 25 years ago, in the spring of 2001. At that time, there were fewer than 200 practicing psychologists in the country. Oral histories have preserved anecdotes that some of them were concerned about their future when psychologists were educated here in Iceland and the number of psychologists in the profession increased.
