The Icelandic Tourism Association is urging Icelandic hotels to join a European class action against Booking.com, one of the world's largest hotel booking systems. The Icelandic Tourism Federation, the European lobby group HOTREC and over 25 national hospitality associations across Europe are now jointly launching a class action lawsuit against booking company Booking.com. Jóhannes Þór Skúlason, CEO of SAF, hopes that as many Icelandic hotels as possible will participate in the lawsuit. This could potentially lead to significant amounts of money being recovered from the company.
