ICE arrests trucker with "No Name Given" on New York ID

  • U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Anmol Anmol on Sept. 23, 2025, during a routine Oklahoma Highway Patrol inspection after record checks showed he held a New York CDL listing NO NAME GIVEN and marked as a REAL ID, issued April 14, 2025, and valid until May 26, 2028.
  • During the Sept. 23-25 operation, ICE and Oklahoma Highway Patrol detained 120 illegal immigrants along I-40, including 91 operating commercial vehicles with sanctuary-state licenses.
  • Federal records show DHS said Anmol entered illegally in 2023 and was released by the Biden administration, while DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin called licensing illegal aliens reckless and dangerous.
  • Anmol Anmol has been placed in removal proceedings and remains in ICE custody as the Department of Homeland Security reviews partnerships with the Department of Transportation to tighten CDL vetting.
  • New York's DMV pushed back, saying it issued licenses consistent with federal guidelines after employment authorization, while the DOT announced restrictions following a federal audit on state CDL practices in sanctuary jurisdictions.
