In Republic Day Parade, India Flies Rafale BS-022 Pakistan Claimed to Have Shot Down During Op Sindoor
The Indian Air Force conducted precision strikes deep into Pakistan, damaging multiple air bases and missile sites while neutralizing Pakistan's drone and missile assaults, the CHPM report says.
- On January 26, 2026 the Switzerland-based Centre for Military History and Perspective Studies reported that by the morning of May 10, 2025 the Indian Air Force had achieved air superiority, enabling long-range precision strikes.
- On May 7 artillery along the Line of Control opened fire, prompting immediate Indian retaliation as the Pakistan Air Force launched a large offensive using Songar armed drones, Yihaa-III suicide drones and cyberattacks.
- Between 02:00 and 05:00 on May 10 the Indian Air Force launched BrahMos, SCALP-EG and Rampage missiles from Su-30MKI, Jaguar and Rafale combat aircraft, hitting key Pakistani bases.
- Pakistan failed to saturate Indian air defences during the exchanges, with most incoming munitions intercepted and Indian surface-to-air missile batteries repeatedly relocated; CHPM says forward air-surveillance radars' destruction and India's S-400 systems reduced Pakistan Air Force capacity.
- The CHPM judged Operation Sindoor a doctrinal turning point, noting India’s reliance on BrahMos and SCALP-EG missiles shapes regional deterrence against Pakistan.
