"I am in a state of snow grief"

Early in February I tried to ski from Geilo towards my cabin at Hallingskarvet. 1,100 meters above sea level there were only grass tufts, rocks and bushes with a couple of centimeters of snow on top. I had to give up. I consoled myself with the fact that there was still skiing in Nordmarka. Two weeks passed, then it all rained away there too. I am about to lose something that is important to me.
