CHARLESTON, S.C. –  The College of Charleston women's basketball team (20-3, 12-0) used a dominant third quarter to defeat Northeastern (6-16, 2-10) by a final of 69-47 at the Cabot Center on Friday night.

BOSTON, Mass. -- Morgan Matthews scored a team-high 11 points and María Sánchez Pitarch added a career-high nine off the bench, but a 17-0 Charleston run in the third quarter proved to be the difference as the Northeastern women's basketball team (6-16, 2-10 CAA) fell to the College of Charleston Cougars (20-3, 12-0 CAA), 69-47, on Friday night at Cabot Center.
