On Jan. 25, 2026 the National Weather Service reported wide-ranging preliminary snow totals across the Greater Cincinnati/Tri-State region, including as much as a foot in Trotwood, Ohio.
The storm began late Saturday and intensified Sunday morning, producing steady heavy snow with rates exceeding one inch per hour, prompting an Ohio Winter Storm Warning.
As of 1 p.m. Sunday, NWS spotters recorded Batesville, Indiana at 12.9 inches and Middletown, Ohio at 11.0 inches, with Hamilton and Mason reporting double-digit totals.
County sheriffs issued a Level 2 snow emergency urging limited travel, regional airports reported flight cancellations and delays, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base closed while warming centers opened in Butler, Greene, Montgomery and Warren counties.
A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect into Monday, with wind chills minus 15 or colder and another 2-3 inches of snow possible, according to the NWS.
