Maritime drivers will be paying more at the pumps this morning, as gas increased overnight for Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Nova Scotia Energy Board changes clean fuel pricing formula, raising pump prices

The interim order changes how the province calculates the clean fuel adjuster adding over 3 cents per litre to diesel and gasoline.

Diesel and Gas Prices Go Up

It costs a little more to fill up at the pump today.    The price of gas jumped by over seven cents. A liter of gasoline in the eastern mainland now ranges between $1.77.9 and $1.80.8. In Cape Breton, it’s $1.78.7 and $1.81.6.    The price of diesel also went up, and now sits between $1.96.1 and $1.99 on the eastern mainland, and  $1.96.9 and $1.99.8 in Cape Breton.

Fuel Prices Drop Overnight

Fuel prices are down slightly across the board this morning. Gas is down by a cent. Diesel on the island is down by 2.5 cents and in Labrador its down by over 3.5 cents. Furnace oil has dropped by over 2 cents, stove oil in Labrador has dipped by close on three-and-a-half cents, and proane is down by less than a cent.
