How a teen turned a candy hobby into business sold at Disney World
The business now sells freeze-dried candy at Disney World, the Cincinnati Zoo and Six Flags while employing 14 people.
On Wednesday, Northern Kentucky entrepreneur Aubrie Sink expanded her business, Freezin' with Aubrie, to Disney World, with products now available at Mission Space, Space Mountain, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot.
Starting as a COVID-era hobby, Sink made homemade jams in her kitchen at age 12 before investing in a freeze dryer she discovered on TikTok after saving money from jam sales.
Her company operates a Florence storefront and supplies products to the Cincinnati Zoo, Jungle Jim's, and Six Flags parks, employing 14 people across the growing operation.
While managing these widespread operations, the 18-year-old remains a full-time student at the University of Kentucky, balancing academic responsibilities with her enterprise's rapid growth.
Reflecting on her success, Sink said the achievement has shown her "it's really shown me like, okay, well, maybe nothing is impossible," exceeding her initial expectations for the business.
