On Friday, the Ministry of Justice and Security reported that two employees of the correctional facility in Vught were held hostage. The DJI (Custodial Institutions Agency) confirmed that the hostage situation occurred in the psychiatric ward. Sources told De Telegraaf that the hostage-taker is believed to be Corné H., the man who held four employees hostage for an extended period at Café Petticoat in Ede on March 30, 2024.
