Hillsboro Sales Tax increase now in effect – R & J Broadcasting Inc.

As of yesterday, shoppers in the city of Hillsboro can expect to see an increase in the amount they are paying on sales tax. Hillsboro City Auditor Casey Eggermont tells us more about the increase, and the reason behind it.  Eggermont also gave an update on where things are at in the Hillsboro Fire Hall building process.  The ballot measure to increase the sales tax was approved in the 2024 General Election by 76.1 percent of voters.
